Frequently Asked Questions

What's the turnaround time for drone deliverables?

Our turnaround time depends on the complexity of the project. We strive to deliver high-quality results as quickly as possible. This can vary greatly across projects. Photos can typically be delivered quickly; however, videos take considerably more time as they require more processing.

Do you film or photograph more than just with drones?

We like to focus exclusively on drone imagery to keep our output quality high and deliver quickly; however, we have years of experience creating with an array of gear. If you like what you see here, don't hesitate to reach out and let us know what kind of project you have in mind. We can also refer you to a trusted media production studio.

My need for drone imagery doesn't fall within your outlined services, can you still help me?

We'd be happy to connect and chat about your needs and decipher whether we'll be able to deliver what you need.

What are drone limitations? Are there places you can't fly a drone?

Drones are not able to fly in precipitation (rain, sleet, snow), or high winds. Night time drone use also poses risks, but can be facilitated with the right planning. Additionally, there are areas within a specified radius of many airports that have flight limits and restrictions (0ft, 50ft, 150ft are common limits in parts of Traverse City). We can discuss where your project will be taking place and come up with solutions.

Can you help me decide on a media package?

Definitely! We can steer you in the right direction for your drone use-case.

What do I need to do to get ready for a drone shoot?

Do you travel for projects?

Yes, we are available to travel throughout Michigan for projects. Our primary service area is Northwestern lower Michigan (Traverse City, Elk Rapids, Leelanau, Kalkaska, Benzie, Charlevoix). Additional travel fees will apply depending on the location of your shoot.

Are your drone pilots licensed and insured?

Yes, our pilots are Part 107 FAA certified and insured. We take great caution to ensure our flights are within regulations and safe for everyone involved.
